Volunteer Information Center

Thank you, for expressing an interest in volunteering for the Atlanta Union Mission, Women & Children Services. Currently we have two women & children’s facilities. They are My Sister’s House and Village Atlanta. My Sister’s House is a crisis shelter & a long-term residential recovery program for women & children along with a therapeutic child development center. Village Atlanta is a transitional program for women & children. The Atlanta Union Mission is a Christian Ministry that brings Christ’s healing power to any person in crisis through programs of rescue and recovery. Before you or your group can actively volunteer, an orientation must be attended.

The orientations begin promptly at 6:30 pm and last for approximately 2 hours. We ask that you attempt to arrive a few minutes early. It is important that you attend the entire orientation because all of the policies & procedures are explained in complete detail. Also, all of the current volunteer openings are discussed. During the orientation you are also permitted to address any questions or concerns that you may have. The orientations take place at My Sister’s House, directions are enclosed.
